The SharePoint Business Analyst will be part of a team that consists of SharePoint Developers, Infrastructure Architects, Server Administrators and Site Owners. Primary responsibility will be to facilitate the success of the SharePoint collaboration services solution by working with end users to document business requirements and translate those requirements into SharePoint functionality. Also responsible to assist the Site Owners as they migrate their content and customizations from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2013. The responsibilities during the migration will include evaluating the existing Site Collections, reorganizing the site structure as appropriate, building out the new Site Collections and assisting with the content migration using a third party tool.


Qualifications: Specific skills required:

• At least 5 years experience as a SharePoint Site Collection Administrator in a large global SharePoint deployment
• Expert understanding and experience implementing all SharePoint 2007 – 2013 out of the box functionality from the user interface
• Ability to use SharePoint Designer to implement minor customizations
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with end users, Site Owners and leadership to understand, collect and document business requirements
• Experience working with business process owners to identify technology solutions that meet the needs of the client
• Advance understanding of Microsoft SharePoint 2007 – 2013 infrastructure and development options
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating platforms (Windows Server 2008/2012) and Office applications (including Visio & Project).
• Excellent research skills
• Technical documentation and client training skills

Certification Requirements: 
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Windows Server 2008 or MSCA: Windows Server 2012 certification
• CompTIA Security+ CE or the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• At least one of the Microsoft SharePoint certifications in SharePoint 2007, 2010 or 2013

Clearance Requirement:
• DoD Secret Clearance required

Beneficial Skills:
• Understanding of SharePoint information architecture, governance and taxonomy strategies
• Understanding of information assurance architecture and accreditation
• Experience with third party SharePoint migration tools
• Experience with built-in SharePoint workflow and third party workflow solutions
